Martin Ford addresses this a bit in Rise of the Robots. I think we’ll certainly see the emergence of more creative, meaningful work — email testing is super tedious, I and probably every other marketer would LOVE to never have to do that again :) But will there be enough of them? It seems unlikely that we’ll have a 1:1 match of creative, meaningful jobs replacing existing roles…which will still result in massive unemployment. But massive unemployment sounds scary in a way that it doesn’t need to, just as long as there is a system in place to provide a high-quality of life in lieu of jobs…that’s a future that’s incredibly difficult to imagine, but it could be reality in 20,50,100 years.

Thanks for weighing in on this Robina Maharjan and for being a part of this series :)
