This is so funny :) I kind of felt the same way when I heard. It’s just so hard to walk away from better conversion rates. For some time I was in that camp of, “I know they’re annoying…but they work!” Marketers are supposed to use data to make decisions!

The nagging thought that was always in the back of my head was how many people just filled in a junk address (I did this) or immediately unsubscribed (also did this). That’s what simple A/B testing doesn’t reveal.
