Totally agree. This is a great point. I like to say “writing is thinking.” If you’re not writing about your work, you’re not forming new thoughts and ideas, you’re not getting better (or you’re getting better at a slower rate than you could be). Content created for that purpose is valuable not because it generates leads or thousands of pageviews, but because it’s pushing your thinking forward.
